NUS Invizo 6000 Atom Probe Tomography Facility Opening & Inaugural Symposium (Jan 2026)

On 29 January 2026, NUS officially launched the Invizo 6000 Atom Probe Tomography (APT) Facility with a full-day inaugural symposium. The event brought together leading researchers, collaborators, and industry partners to celebrate this important milestone for advanced materials characterization at NUS.

The symposium featured keynote lectures by Dr. Kazuhiro Hono (NIMS, Japan), and Prof. Simon P. Ringer (University of Sydney), Robert Ulfig (CAMECA, USA) alongside invited talks from experts spanning advanced alloys, semiconductor devices, bioceramics, and high-resolution microscopy. The program highlighted the growing impact of atom probe tomography in understanding materials at near-atomic resolution.

A Memorandum of Understanding between NUS and CAMECA was also signed during the event, further collaborations and advance atom probe technologies in Southeast Asia.
