The Tan Group hosted Prof. Sophie Primig (UNSW Sydney) for a seminar on Microstructure Engineering via Additive Manufacturing of Common Stainless Steels. The session sparked engaging discussions on advancing AM-enabled physical metallurgy at NUS.

Prof Yu Qian from Zhejiang University and Prof Gu Lin from Tsinghua University visited Tan Group and Analytical Defect Atom Probe Tomography (ADAPT) Lab. Prof Yu Qian delivered a seminar on ‘In-situ TEM study on structural evolutions’.

The Tan Group visited the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in Jakarta, where Dr. Tan delivered a presentation at a seminar hosted by BRIN. The group also visited Laser Indonesia and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), engaging in productive discussions that fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The Tan Research Group participated in the 4th Asia-Pacific International Conference on Additive Manufacturing (APICAM 2025), presenting both oral and poster contributions. During the trip, the team also had the opportunity to visit leading research facilities at RMIT, Monash University, ANSTO, and Deakin University. The visit concluded with a scenic journey along the Great Ocean Road.
